Vintage Thanksgiving!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! Before I talk about my card, I want you to know I’m not a vintage girl. Our theme had me a little stumped this week. When I think of vintage, I think browns, dirty, old, stained? So this is what I came up with, hope it fits the bill!

I used some regal colors, added some stamped speckles to make it look dirty & old and I added some brown sponging to all of my leaves. Does this work and did I pass the test?

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Season Of Chic, Painted Pheasant
- Inks: Soft Suede, Old Olive
- Cardstock: Soft Suede, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake
- Designer Paper: Tea Boutique
- Tools & Accessories: Gold Holly Leaves, Chic Dies, Fancy Frames Dies, Sponge Daubers, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Soft Suede Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: Tea Boutique Designer Paper 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base. Stamp the speckled image in the center, top right corner and bottom left corner using Soft Suede Ink.
- Layer #3: Use the Fancy Frames Dies to cut Cajun Craze Cardstock. Glue to card front, centered.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on a 3/4″ strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock using Soft Suede Ink. Cut the right end with Paper Snips into a banner. Trim the strip to measure 3-1/4″ long. Glue to card front about 2″ from the bottom.
- Leaves as follows:
- Stamped Leaf: (2) stamp on Crumb Cake Cardstock with Soft Suede Ink. Cut with the die. Sponge Soft Suede Ink around the edges and a little in the center.
- Stamped Leaf: (1) stamp on Old Olive Cardstock with Old Olive Ink. Cut with the die. Sponge Soft Suede Ink around the edges and a little in the center.
- Diecut Leaf: (2) with Cajun Craze Cardstock. Sponge Soft Suede Ink around the edges and a little in the center.
- Diecut Leaf: (1) with Old Olive Cardstock. Sponge Soft Suede Ink around the edges and a little in the center.
- Diecut Leaf: (1) with Crushed Curry Cardstock. Sponge Soft Suede Ink around the edges and a little in the center.
- Glue the stamped leaves first on the left side using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Glue the diecut leaves tucked under the stamped leaves.
- Glue Gold Holly Leaves tucked in as well.

Love your card. I look at Vintage as taking something, discarded and in a useless state and making it beautiful again.
Just like God does with us. I am so grateful and blessed to have been noticed by Him and found worthy to be
put to use for His glory.
Praying for you and yours to have a very blessed and joyful Thanksgiving.
Thank you Seletta!
Love your card Debbie! I think you totally passed the test – it’s beautiful.
Glad you like it, thanks!
