Three Techniques For Pretty Sunflowers!

Awhile ago, I showed my Stamp & Ink Designs Facebook group three ways to use the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder with techniques. The technique layers stayed on my counter for quite some time and I finally used them to finish these three cards. I’ll explain under each photo what I did to achieve the pretty layers:

The first card uses gold embossing powder on the Basic Black Cardstock layer. First, emboss Basic Black Cardstock with the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder, swipe over the bumps with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder and melt with the Heat Tool. TIP: Press VERY lightly with the ink pad.

For the 2nd card I used Texured Metallic (copper) Sheets embossed with the Sunflower Embossing Folder. Very gently (it’s slippery) swipe VersaMark Ink over the bumps and sprinkle with Black Embossing Powder, melt with the Heat Tool. TIP: move your Heat Tool a LOT so you don’t damage the metallic sheet.

And for my final card, I inked the bumps inside the Sunflower Embossing Folder with an ink pad (I used Gorgeous Grape), place Basic White Cardstock gently inside and run through the machine. TIP: Rinse embossing folder under the faucet with running water and dry. I inked the logo side of the embossing folder.
