Wishing For Spring Theme!

Hello and Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. Spring is just around the corner here in Maine. The snow is almost all gone finally. Yes we still have remnants of the white stuff showing!
This week our team theme is Wishing For Spring and this is the project I came up with:

You’ll notice that the only stamping I used is the sentiment! That’s because I let the designer paper do all of the work for me. I hand-cut some printed images from the Storybook Moments Designer Paper to create a little scenery about spring inside my diecut frame:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Storybook Friends
- Inks: Lost Lagoon
- Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral
- Designer Paper: Storybook Mements
- Tools & Accessories: Storybook Friends Dies, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Lost Lagoon Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Storybook Moments pattern 1 5-1/4 x 1-3/4. Glue 1/4″ from the bottom of the card base. Storybook Moments pattern 2 5-1/4 x 2-1/4. Glue 1/4″ from the top of the card base.
- Layer 3: Calypso Coral Cardstock 5-1/4 x 1/2. Stamp the sentiment to the right with Lost Lagoon Ink. Glue over the two designer papers in the center.
- Frame: Cut 2 frames with the die-1 with Lost Lagoon Cardstock and 1 with Calypso Coral Cardstock. Keep the outside frame in Calypso and glue to the left of the sentiment at an angle. Keep the inside frame in Lost Lagoon and glue inside the frame.
- Printed Images: Hand-cut images from the designer paper and glue some flat and some with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the inside of the frame.
- Bling: Add a few Brushed Brass Butterflies to the frame background

Such a sweet card! Very fitting for the spring theme. I love when the DSP can carry so much of the work. 🙂
