Pop-Up Surprise!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. Have you ever created a beautiful card and then added something special on the inside that pops out? That’s what we are all featuring today and this is my card:
It looks like a regular pretty card but wait…open it up and this is what pops out at you:
Here are a few more photos of the pretty details on the front of the card, and then I’ll show you how to create a card just like it:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Changing Leaves
- Inks: Blackberry Bliss
- Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Splendid Autumn
- Tools & Accessories: Changing Leaves Dies, Woven Golden Leaves, Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Blackberry Bliss Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Crushed Curry Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Splendid Autumn Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card front.
- Score at the top at 1-1/4″ through all three layers. Use the score tool several times to go through all three layers. Add adhesive on the inside at the small scored section and press down to adhere. Fold on the score line.
- Twine: Wrap the twine around the card front twice and tie into a bow at the left. Slide about 1-1/2″ from the top.
- Leaves and Sentiment: Add the following leaf layers:
- Stamp the leaf on Crushed Curry Cardstock with Crushed Curry Ink. Cut with the die. Glue tucked under the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment on Pumpkin Pie Cardstock with Blackberry Bliss Ink. Cut with the label die. Glue over the leaf and add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the right.
- Tuck and glue under the sentiment, one Woven Gold Leaf.
- Use the die to cut the small leaf with Cajun Craze Cardstock. Glue over the Crushed Curry leaf and tucked under the sentiment.
- Use the die to cut the branch with Basic White Cardstock. Tuck and glue under the sentiment and over the leaf layers.
- Bling: Add Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots to the background.
Inside of card: Use the photos below and follow the steps:
- Splendid Autumn Designer Paper 6 x 6. Score diagonally from corner to corner twice to include all four corners. Score a 3rd score line across one direction only at 3″. Fold on all score lines.
- Glue a Basic White Cardstock layer to one corner square section that measures 2-3/4 x 2-3/4.
- Fold the designer paper to resemble photo 3.
- Add adhesive to the back section of the white square. Press in place inside the card.
- Add adhesive to the top section. Close the card and press in place.
- The folded layer should pop when you open the card.
- Stamp the inside as you like!
