Traditional Christmas Colors Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. I’m doing something a little different this week. Last week we used non-tradional Christmas colors and this week, we are using traditional Christmas colors.
I took last week’s card, used the same layers but changed up the colors:
I replaced the Full Of Life Designer Paper with Take A Bow Designer Paper, stamped the same image from the Filled With Cheer stamp set and colored with Stampin’ Blends:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Filled With Cheer
- Inks: Memento Black
- Stampin’ Blends: Poppy Parade, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green
- Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Soft Sea Foam, Basic Black, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Nested Essential Dies, Frosted Forest Dies, Stylis Shapes Dies, Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder, Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Poppy Parade Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Basic Black Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Take A Bow Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card front.
- Tree: Use the tree die from Frosted Forest Dies to cut (2) with Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Emboss with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder. Glue the inside tree flat and the outside tree with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the left side.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock cut with #2 die from Nested Essential Dies. Stamp the image with Memento Black Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 5: Basic White Cardstock cut with the smallest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies. Stamp the sentiment with Memento Black Ink. Glue with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the lower right corner of the stamped layer.
- Bling: Add Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots to the background.
Here’s what the cards look like side-by-side. Which one is your favorite?
