National Relaxation Day Theme!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. National Relaxation Day was on August 15th and we are joining in on the fun by using this as our blog hop theme this week. I wasn’t sure what to create at first but found the perfect sentiment to use from the Scalloped Blooms stamp set:

The sentiment says: Wishing you a day of relaxation, happiness and love. How nice!
I decided to use the sentiment and add lots of flowers and create an easel card with the Everyday Arches Dies. The flowers are so easy because it’s one huge stamp that stamps them all in one step and one huge die that cuts them all in one step. All I had to do was color them all. See how pretty?

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Extraordinary Flora, Scalloped Blooms
- Inks: Gorgeous Grape
- Stampin’ Blends: Peaceful Pine, Bubble Bat, Fresh Freesia
- Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Extraordinary Flora Dies, Everyday Arches Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Create the arch layers first. TIP: if you cut a smaller arch inside the larger arch, the hole will be covered by the next layer so you save on cardstock!
- Large Arch: Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 5-1/2 x 4-1/4. Cut the two arches in one step: Arch 1: 5-1/8″ tall, Arch 2: 3-7/8″ tall
- White Arch: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/2 x 4-1/4. Cut the two arches in one step: Arch 1: 4-13/16″ tall, Arch 2: 3-1/2″ tall

- Stamp the large flower image over the white arch with Gorgeous Grape Ink.
- Glue the large white arch to the large grape arch.
- Glue the 2nd gorgeous grape arch over the white arch.
- Use the same die that you cut the large white arch with, and cut a Gorgeous Grape arch. Glue to the back to cover the holes.

- Card Base: Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2 & 2-3/4.
- Glue the arch layers to the front of the card base section only to create the easel when folded.
- Glue the small white arch to the front layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the large flower image on Basic White Cardstock with Gorgeous Grape Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends and cut with the large die. Glue some of the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the smaller white arch:

- Inside Layer: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to inside of card base.
- Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 3-1/2 x 2. Cut with the 2-7/8 tall Everyday Arches Die. Glue 1/2″ from the left and 3″ from the bottom sideways, with Stampin’ Dimensionals for the easel stopper. This is what holds the easel card section in place.
- Basic White Cardstock 3 x 1-1/2 Cut with the Everyday Arches Dies 2-9/16″ tall die. Stamp the sentiment with Gorgeous Grape Ink. Glue to grape layer flat.
- Add remaining flowers are the sentiment side and bottom with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
