Leaves Or Trees!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends.  Our leaves or trees theme this week was an easy one. Only because we have so many products to pick from. I adore the shape of the cute leaves from our Radiant Sunflowers Bundle and so this card was born:

I cut the front of the card base at an angle so that I could add my sunflowers and leaves from the top to the bottom of the angled cut:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Radiant Sunflowers
• Inks: Early Espresso
• Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Lemon Lime Twist, Golden Glow
• Tools & Accessories: Radiant Sunflowers Dies, Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder, Radiant Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Follow these steps:
  • Thick Basic White Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4.
  • Score at 5-1/2.
  • Measure at the top 2″ from the left and add a pencil mark.
  • Measure at the bottom 3-3/4 from the left and add a pencil mark.
  • Cut at an angle using the pencil marks.
  • Fold on the score line.
• Layer 2: Pecan Pie Cardstock 5-1/2 x 4. Emboss with the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder. Glue to card base leaving 1/8″ on the left side, top & bottom. Trim using the angle from the white layer.
• Inside Layer: Lemon Lime Tree Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to inside of card base.
• Sunflowers: Cut and glue to the angled flap as follows:
  • Use the largest sunflower die to cut 3 with Golden Glow Cardstock. Glue flat.
  • Use the smallest sunflower die to cut 2 with Golden Glow Cardstock. Glue between the large sunflowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Cut 3 large and 2 small flower centers with the dies and Early Espresso Cardstock. Glue to the center of each flower.
  • Cut 3 leaves with the die and Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock. Tuck and glue under the small sunflowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Bling: Add Radiant Gems around the sunflowers at the top and center.
• Sentiment: Follow these steps (see photos below):
  • Basic White Cardstock 2-1/4 x 1/2.
  • Add Painters Tape or Masking tape over the bottom word to completely cover it.
  • Ink up the sentiment with Early Espresso Ink.
  • Peel off the tape and stamp!
  • Trim the left end into a banner shape.
  • Glue tucked under the bottom large sunflower flat.
