Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop

October 26, 2024 Leave a Comment

Fall Trees Theme!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. Is it fall in your neck of the woods? Our leaf-peeping days are pretty much overwith here in Maine. Leaves have all fallen off the trees and the grounds are so pretty with all of the leaf colors sitting there to fertilize our grounds for next year! Isn’t Mother Nature amazing?

This week, our blog hop theme is Fall Trees and I used the snapdragon images turned upside-down to create my multi-colored trees:

The bundle I used is the Inspiring Snapdragons and I also added in a few small layers from the Splendid Autumn Designer Paper:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Inspiring Snapdragons
  • Inks: Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue
  • Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Cajun Craze, Basic White
  • Tools & Accessories: Wild Wheat Rustic Striped Ribbon, Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Balmy Blue Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2. Stamp the dotted image at the top left corner and bottom right corner with Balmy Blue Ink.
  • Layer 2: Splendid Autumn Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 1. Glue 1/2″ from the left edge.
  • Layer 3: Splendid Autumn Designer Paper 4-3/4 x 2-1/2. Glue overlapping the 1st designer paper layer.
  • Ribbon: Wrap the ribbon around the card front and tie into a bow at the left.
  • Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/4 x 2-3/4. Ink up the two snapdragon images with Lemon Lime Twist Ink. Use Sponge Daubers to add Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss Inks. Stamp each image next to each other. Stamp the tiny dragonflies with Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss Inks. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Layer 5: Cajun Craze Cardstock 3 x 1. Stamp the sentiment with Blackberry Bliss Ink. Glue over the white layer at the bottom.
  • Bling: Add Neutrals Sequins to each tree.
