Beach Time Theme!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends.  It’s a Beach Theme this week for our team. I have to confess that here in Maine, beach weather is not here yet. I was actually wearing long sleeves most of this week because it’s been chilly. It has been a strange summer so far!

This is the card I created using our Notes & Totes Bundle and Celebratory Sips Designer Paper:

I started out with a thought in my head, to add beachy sand and a fence and I layered and layered from there. I love all of the dies that are included in this bundle:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Notes & Totes
• Inks: Pecan Pie
• Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Basic Gray, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia, Peach Pie
• Designer Paper: Celebratory Sips
• Tools & Accessories: Notes & Totes Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Basic Gray Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
• Layer 2: Pecan Pie Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
• Layer 3: Pool Party Cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Set aside.
• Layer 4: Crumb Cake Cardstock 4-3/4x 1-3/4. On one long side, tear the cardstock towards you and across to create the torn look. Glue to the bottom of the Pool Party layer. Stamp the dotted image a few times with Pecan Pie Ink. Set aside.
• Fence: Use the strips dies to cut 5 with the fatter die and 6 of the skinny die, both with Pecan Pie Cardstock. Create the fence by tucking the fat pieces under the Crumb Cake Layer.
• Tote Bag: Use the tote die and handle die with the Celebratory Sips Designer Paper. Fold on the score lines to create a square tote. Glue the handle to the top. Glue tote to the left over the fence with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the sides only.
• Tote Bag Pocket: Use the pocket die and Celebratory Sips Designer Paper. Glue to the front of the tote.
• Bottles: Cut and tuck the following:
  • Highland Heather: Waterbottle & straw with Highland Heather Cardstock.
  • Peach Pie Cardstock with the 2nd bottle.
  • Fresh Freesia Cardstock for the lotion bottle.
• Sunglasses: Cut the two layers for the sunglasses with Pecan Pie and Basic Gray Cardstocks. Layer and glue together. Glue to tote pocket with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Sentiment: Peach Pie Cardstock 1-3/4 x 5/8. Stamp the sentiment with Pecan Pie Ink. Glue to the right of the tote bag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Shell & Starfish: Use the 2 dies with Pecan Pie & Pool Party Cardstocks. Glue below the sentiment layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
