Animal Love!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. The Friendly Seagulls stamp set has been such a big hit during Sale-A-Bration. The seagulls are cute and funny and that’s what I picked for our Animal Love theme!
The french fries sentiment is a hoot! I also add some dry embossing to one of my layers using the Star Struck Embossing Folder which is another Sale-A-Bration product.
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Friendly Seagulls
- Inks: Memento Black
- Stampin’ Blends: Pumpkn Pie, Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Color Lifter
- Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Boho Blue, Basic White, Basic Beige
- Designer Paper: Timeless Plaid
- Tools & Accessories: Star Struck Embossing Folder, Stylish Shapes Dies, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Mossy Meadow Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic Beige Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Emboss with the Star Struck Embossing Folder. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Boho Blue Cardstock 4 x 1-1/2. Glue about 1″ from the top.
- Layer 4: Timeless Plaid Designer Paper 3 x 3. Glue to card front about 1/4″ below the Boho Blue layer.
- Layer 5: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 2-1/2″ circle from Stylish Shapes Dies. Stamp the bird image with Memento Black Ink. Color the bird with Stampin’ Blends. Outline the image with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends and soften the color with the Color Lifter. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Banners: Cut one each with Basic White, Basic Beige and Boho Blue Cardstock 1-1/4 x 1/2. Trim one short end into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Tuck and glue under the designer paper at different lengths.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock 1/4″ wide with Memento Black Ink. Cut into 2 lines and glue to designer paper with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
