Sorry To See You Go Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! Have you ever purchased stamp sets that haven’t seen ink yet? That’s what I am using today for our Sorry To See You Go theme. Time runs out and as demonstrators, we don’t always get to use all that we purchased to show off before they retire.
I think the squirrel image is so sweet from the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set:
And that sentiment! What a great way to send someone a little pick-me-up. This is a two-step stamping set which means there are two images to complete a task. The lined image and the bold image to fill the inside with color:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Nuts About You
- Inks: Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Bermuda Bay
- Cardstock: Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Fern 3D Embossing Folder, Evening Evergreen 3/8″ Windowpane Check Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Soft Suede Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: Pear Pizzazz Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 3″. Emboss with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Glue to the front of the card base at an angle towards the right bottom.
- Layer #3: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 3″. Follow these steps:
- Stamp the sentiment at the bottom with Bermuda Bay Ink.
- Stamp the lined image of the squirrel with Soft Suede Ink.
- Stamp the bold image of the squirrel with Soft Suede Ink on scrap paper first and then inside the lined image for a lighter color.
- Stamp the inside of the acorn with Soft Suede Ink and Old Olive Ink.
- Stamp the branch images several times on both sides of the squirrel and under the squirrel with Soft Suede Ink.
- Stamp the leaves among the branches and sentiment with Old Olive Ink. Stamp twice for a lighter color on some.
- Glue to card front at an angle towards the left and at the top.
- Create a double bow with the ribbon and glue to the bottom left on the white layer.
- Add Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewls to the embossed layer.
