Cut A Rug!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! I hope you are loving our new Annual Catalog. I have so many favorites already on hand and more on my wishlist. This week we are all featuring our new favorite die with our “Cut A Rug” theme. And you know what? I truly did cut a rug with mine!

There are so many dies on my card today and they come from the Lazy Days Bundle. The only other die I added in the mix is the stitched square from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Look at all of the beautiful details:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Lazy Days
- Inks: Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Gray Granite
- Cardstock: Pebbled Path, Pool Party, Basic White, Early Espresso, Lemon Lime Twist
- Tools & Accessories: Lazy Days Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Blending Brushes, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pebbled Path Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Stamp the two cloud images repeatedly on the top half of the cardstock with Pool Party Ink. Glue to card front.
- Layer 3: Pool Party Cardstock cut with the 2-3/4″ square from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Use the 1-1/4″ circle from the dies with a scrap piece of cardstock. Use the hole as a stencil to add a sun with Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight Inks with Blending Brushes. Glue square to card front about 5/8″ from the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Rug: Stamp the rug image on Gray Granite Cardstock with Gray Granite Ink. Cut with the die. Glue to card front overlapping the square using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Deck Railing & Pole: Use the dies to cut the railing and pole with Pebbled Path Cardstock. Glue to rug and square. Trim to fit on the ends.
- Greenery: Cut (2) of each branch shape with the dies and Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock. Glue as shown on the photo in clusters of 2.
- Rocking Chair: Cut (1) rocking chair with Early Espresso Cardstock and the die. Glue to the left of on the rug with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Pool Party Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Cut close to the wording and glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Debbie…What a beautiful and well-detailed card. Love the whole idea of the Sun included and all the elements put together. It makes such a sweet scene. I want to be sitting in that rocking chair…but I am not small enough!!! LOL! Yet. the whole picture is so attractive and inviting. Thank you for sharing.
