Animals From Our Mini!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! Our theme this week is all about animals from our Mini Catalog. Do you have moose where you are from? In Maine, we have lots of moose. We have so many that there are three weeks set aside during the fall months for moose hunting to control the population. And these animals are huge. They usually weigh about 800 to 1200 pounds! Crazy!
I used the All Bundled Up stamp set to create this beautiful Tri-Fold Card Fold with a little bit of a wintery scenery:
Isn’t Mr. Moose adorable with his scarf and hat? I colored him with Stampin’ Blends Markers. This is how the card opens to reveal all three panels:
And a few more photos of the details:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: All Bundled Up
- Inks: Tuxedo Black Memento, Balmy Blue, Stampin’ Blends
- Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Butterfly Kisses
- Tools & Accessories: Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Balmy Blue Cardstock 11″ x 5-1/2″. Score at 3-1/2″ & 7″. The longest section is the bottom section when folded.
- Snow layers: Cut two Basic White Cardstock layers to measure 3-1/2″ and cut them curvy to resemble snowbanks. Glue to the bottom of the first two layers.
- Inside Layer: Basic White 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to the last section.
- Sentiment: Stamp all sentiment on each white layer using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
- Snowflakes: Stamp snowflakes using Balmy Blue Ink on the first two sections at the top to about half-way down. Stamp a few snowflakes on each white layer as well.
- Designer Paper: Cut the designer paper to measure 5-1/2″ x 3/4″ and glue to the right edge of the last panel.
- Animals: Stamp all 4 of the animals on Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Color with Blends Markers. I used Parakeet Party, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue and Bronze. Hand-cut all four animals.
- Glue the moose to the front panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Glue the others flat on the inside layer and the bird standing on the sentiment on the third panel.
