Just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I love, love, love my Stamp & Ink Designs Group on Facebook. I have over 2000 members and we have so much fun. The project for today is a Sampler Swap for Valentine’s. How does a sampler swap work? I set up many groups of 9 and once all of the groups are full, each person creates nine identical squares per the instructions I have them all follow. This usually includes the sizes, how many layers, what colors to use for the layers and then everyone decorates the front according to our theme. You keep one square for yourself and mail 8 to the people in your group.
You can see above that I created 9 identical squares. Our theme was Valentine’s and we all used Real Red and Basic White for two layers and then decorated the front to our liking. It’s so neat to have squares arrive in the mail.
I used the Sweet Conversations Bundle and Sweet Talk Designer Paper to add lots of layers on my squares. All of my squares arrived and I glued them to a 12″ x 12″ artist canvas along with some of our Highland Heather 1/2″ Grosgrain Ribbon. I also added some hearts embellishments that I had on hand that are now retired:
More photos of each square. How fun!
