Angie Cosme’s Last Feature for January!

I want to thank Angie for her four projects that I showed you weekly. This week Angie created two Center Step Fun Fold Cards using the Country Floral Suite of products. She created two versions of the card fold for you that really shows off the Country Floral Lane Designer Paper. You can read more about her cards below:

Blurb from Angie: For my last week as the Stamper of the Month, I wanted to do a “traditional” Valentine’s Day card and I also wanted to showcase one of the Country Floral Suite DSP designs that doesn’t seem to be as popular as the other designs in the collection. I am not a pink person normally but I love the way the Petal Pink and the Mossy Meadow complement each other. They are not traditional Valentine’s Day colors, but this could be a Happy Spring card, a birthday card, or a card of encouragement like mine.

Center Step Fun Fold Cards – there are many tutorials on YouTube and Pinterest that show you how to make this card fold. I found a template on Pinterest

Cardstock:

• Card base 1:  Mossy Meadow – 5 ½ x 8 ½ inch
• Card base 2: Sweet Sorbet – 5 ½ x 8 ½ inch
• Follow the directions for scoring and cutting card bases.
• Basic white for sentiment on the outside of cards and inside of cards

Outside Layers:

• Valentine’s Day card is Basic White Cardstock 2 ½ x 2 ¾ inch
• Everyday occasion card – I used the largest circle die from the Beautiful Shapes die set with Basic White Cardstock.

Inside of cards:

• Country Floral Lane DSP: 2 5/8 x 3 5/8 in (2)
• Country Gingham DSP: 4 pieces 3 x 1inch (for the outside and inside of the card) – you will need 8 pieces total, ¾ inch x 5 ¼ inch for the bottom of the card you will need 2 pieces total
• For the center step of the card, you can use cardstock or DSP, or a combo of both.  I used DSP as a 2^nd layer on both cards on the outside and the inside and then basic white for the sentiment on both cards.

Measurements:

• DSP for 2^nd layer outside – 3 x 2 ¾ in.
• DSP for inside card – 3 ¾ x 2 ¾ in.

Stamp sets used:

• Something Fancy (sentiment on the outside of both cards)
• Share a Milkshake (Be My Valentine sentiment)
• Country Bouquet  – Heart and leaves on outside of Valentine’s card; small hearts inside of card.

Dies: Beautiful Shapes dies (circle)

Ribbon:

• Real Red and Burlap Ribbon Combo pack from the Country Floral Suite
• 1 – 6 in piece of Real Red for a bow for card 1
• 1 – 6 in piece for placement behind the sentiment on the front of card 2

Embellishments – Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins
