Spotlight On Nature

Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper With Pretty Sceneries!

I made one small cut horizontally through the Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper and then folded both corners to the cut in the center. To make the two folds really stand out, I added a Stampin’ Dimensionals under each one to raise them. It’s a little trick of the eye!

Althought the Spotlight On Nature Bundle does come with dies, there are no dies to cut the flowers and butterfly so I hand-cut around each image. Here’s the how-to:

  • Card Base: Petunia Pop Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2. Stamp the large flower image to the right with Petunial Pop Ink.
  • Layer 2: Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Make a cut starting at 2-5/8 on the long side to 2″ deep towards the center. Using the cut in the center, fold to each corner to create two flaps. Add one Stampin’ Dimensional under each flap. Glue layer to card front flat.
  • Stamped Images: Stamp and hand-cut the following:
    • Branch: Stamp on Mossy Meadow Cardstock with Mossy Meadow Ink. Hand-cut and glue over the flaps in the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Flowers: Use the flowers from the large flower stamp to stamp 2 large and 2 medium flowers on Petunia Pop Cardstock with Petunia Pop Ink. Once all flowers are handcut, tuck and glue around the leaves.
    • Butterfly: Stamp on Calypso Coral Ink on Calypso Coral Cardstock. Handcut and glue above the flowers on the flap.
    • Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Wild Wheat Cardstock with Mossy Meadow Ink. Handcut close to the lettering and glue to lower flap.
  • Bling: Add Opal Rounds to the background.
