Altering the Diecut Wagon!
I have such a cute card for you today and a quick way to alter the diecut wagon. It’s Day #4 using the This Birthday Piggy stamp set with the coordinating Playful Piggy Dies. Six new sets of dies will be introduced on September 1st for one month only or while supplies last.
Once I had my Soft Suede Cardstock wagon all cut out, I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Blends (dark) to color the wheels and the handle. That’s it. So simple!
I stamped my little piggy image first and then used Blending Brushes to add ink to the top with Pool Party and ink on the bottom with Pear Pizzazz:
I also stamped the sentiment and cut it out into two strips so I could stagger them when I glued them down. Here’s the how-to and supplies I used:
Supplies:
- Stamps: This Birthday Piggy
- Inks: Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Tuxedo Black Memento
- Stampin’ Blends: Petal Pink, Fresh Freesia, Parakeet Party, So Saffron, Basic Black
- Designer Paper: Gingham Cottage
- Tools & Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stylish Shapes Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Blending Brushes, Matte Black Dots, In Color Bakers Twine
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Real Red Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Gingham Cottage Designer Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″. Glue to card front.
- Layer #4: Real Red Cardstock cut with the Layering Circles Dies, 3-1/8″ scalloped circle. Glue to card front about 1″ from the top and 1/2″ from the left.
- Layer #5: Stamp the piggy image on Basic White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Cut with the large circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Use Blending Brushes to add Pool Party Ink at the top and Pear Pizzazz Ink on the bottom. Color the images with Stampin’ Blends. Glue to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals layered over the scalloped circle over to the right.
- Wagon: Cut (1) wagon using Soft Suede Cardstock. Color the wheels and handle using the dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. Glue to white circle. Add Matte Black Dots to the wheels and handle. Wrap the twine around the handle and tie into a bow.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Pool Party Cardstock. Cut the sentiment in half horizontally and close to the lettering on all sides. Glue to card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
