Kisses & Hugs Kit!

Are you ready for Valentine’s Day? Our January Paper Pumpkin was all about Valentine’s with these adorable shaped card that are tri-folds. I made some of these for my grandgirls along with some treats that you’ll see later in my post. You can see how all the layers came together with this photo of the cards:

As for me, Valentine’s won’t be the same without my Dave so it will probably be just another day for me. We would usually go out to eat or order in and I don’t even have Ruger by my side anymore as well. If you still have your loved one, celebrate your love together as things can change in the blink of an eye. I am witness to that.
If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, on the back of the flyer you’ll always find at least three ideas for using your kit contents. I copied the three ideas and if you are a subscriber of mine, I sent you a newsletter with the how-to yesterday.

I always purchase two kits each month so I have enough layers and pieces to create alternative designs and these were my two projects for this month. Both require lots of layers. I used the left-over guts from one of the diecut sheets and built from there:

If you run out of hearts from the kit, I used the Sweet Hearts Dies to cut additional hearts with the leftover pieces from my kit, such as the heart cards when I cut them apart. You can purchase they dies with item #157623.
The card above is a jumbo card that can also be used as a piece of art to display on a shelf or mantle and the project below is a Valentine’s Sampler that I glued on a 12″ x 12″ artist canvas. I use artist canvases for all of my Samplers.

I featured these two projects during a Facebook Live video last week and you can watch here:
During the month of January, we also were given the option of purchasing the Kisses & Hugs Mini Treat Boxes. These are still available through the online store as I write this. The item # is 160147 and you must be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber to purchase them. Look how cute:

The grouping you see in the photo is what I mailed my three grandgirls since I won’t see them on the 14th. I visited with all of them last weekend. I took apart three envelopes to wrap around the chocolates and also combined two of the treat boxes together with the gold string. Fun, fun!
Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you!
