A Landscape Easel Open Fence Card Fold!

Good Morning! I have some really neat cards to show you for the next 5 days. Fence cards are all the rage right now and I am going to show you a different one each day. Today is a Landscape Easel Open Fence Card. Why is it called an open fence? Because you can see right through the fence, and it looks so real!
Here are a few more angles so you can see how this card sits and yes, it does fold flat for mailing:

Products Used:
- Stamps: Pansy Patch
- Inks: Highland Heather
- Cardstock: Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Copper Clay, Pool Party, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Pansy Dies, Beautiful Balloons Dies, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Multipurpose Glue
Follow along and I’ll show you how:

Photo 1:
- Pool Party Cardstock 11: x 5-1/2″. Score at 4″ & 8-1/4″.
- Copper Clay Cardstock (3) strips 5-1/2″ x 1/2″ and (3) pieces 2-1/2″ x 1/2″. On the three shorter pieces, use Paper Snips to trim one end into a pointy banner shape.
Photo 2:
- Fold on the score line of the 2-3/4″ flap to flatten. Add adhesive to one of the longer strips and glue to the bottom of the 2-3/4″ flap of the card base, even with the bottom edge.
- Once the strip is glued in place, add adhesive to the strip as shown in photo 2 in three areas (each end and center).
- Using the three short strips, press in place on the adhesive, making sure the bottom of each strip is in line with the score line below. This should make the 2-3/4″ section now measure 4-1/4″ with the fence posts included.
Photo 3:
- Flip the card base over and add adhesive to the ends of each fence post as shown in photo 3.

Photo 4:
- Press and glue one of the long strips to the bottom of each fence post, even with the bottoms.
- Add adhesive in the center of each fence post and glue the last long strip in place.
Photo 5:
- Using the long die seen in photo 5 from the Beautiful Balloons Dies, cut (4) strips 5-1/2″ long using Granny Apple Green Cardstock. Glue two strips together leaving 1/2″ space between the two. Glue even with the center scored line so that they peek through the fence when the card front is folded.
Photo 6:
- Layer the two remaining strips as completed in the prior step. Glue to the bottom edge of the last scored section as shown in the photo, making sure to glue flat on the edge and use Stampin’ Dimensionals along the center (this will raise the grass up to hold the easel in place).

Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on a Basic White Cardstock measuring 3-1/2″ x 1/2″. Cut the left end into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Stamp the sentiment with Highland Heather Ink. Glue even with the right edge and 1/2″ below the top of the card base.
Using the Pansy Dies, cut the following:
- Stems: (4) with Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- Petals (middle): (4) with Basic White Cardstock and glue to the stems
- Petals (back): (4) with Highland Heather Cardstock and glue to the back of the white petals
- Leaves: (4) with Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Glue all of the flowers and leaves to the left on the fence with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a few Brushed Brass Butterflies to the background and one sitting on a leaf.
Make sure you come back tomorrow for another Open Fence Card Fold!
