I’m So Proud Of My Granddaughter!
It’s so hard to believe the first granddaughter that I was blessed with graduated from middle school this week and promoted to high school next fall. When I arrived to my daughter’s home early to help my granddaughter style her hair, she told me that she had a part in the graduation ceremony but didn’t tell me what it was. More on that in a bit.
First off, this is the graduation card that I made for Kaitlynn. I bought her a gift and also included some cash in this card. It’s the perfect size to put some bills inside as you can see:
The top of the card houses a velcro dot to keep the card closed. The colors I used are her school colors and I love the sentiments from A Grand Kid stamp set. When this stamp set first came out in our catalog, I purchased it immediately because I knew I would use it a lot for my three grandgirls:
I do have a video from years ago that I had filmed for you on how to create this graduation card fold. You can find it here:
So Kaitlynn’s surprise was that she was privileged to lead her class as the Class Marshal. She did a great job and we even got a few smiles from her (she wears braces for a few more months). I of course took lots of photos and am showing you a few here. The school put on a wonderful slideshow of all the students in her class, 16 of them, and of course I got teary-eyed. I’ll probably be a huge mess when she graduates from high school in four years! I’m so proud of Kaitlynn and I know Grampy would be proud of her as well!
