Jive Five Theme!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends.  Oh what pretty colors we are using this week…….all FIVE (5) new In Colors!

I decided to use colorful strips of cardstock in all five colors on my card. I even stamped a little bit on each one too! The Seaside Wishes stamp set made it so easy for me along with the Modern Oval Punch:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Seaside Wishes
• Inks: Peach Pie, Petunia Pop, Summer Splash, Pretty In Pink, Shy Shamrock
• Cardstock: Peach Pie, Petunia Pop, Summer Splash, Pretty In Pink, Shy Shamrock, Basic White, Thick Basic White
• Tools & Accessories: Modern Oval Punch, Peach Pie 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score at 4-1/4 and fold.
• Layer 2: Petunia Pop Cardstock 4-7/8 x 3-5/8. Set aside.
• Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Set aside.
• Strips: Follow these steps:
  • Cut 1/2″ wide strips of all 5 In Color Cardstocks.
  • Stamp the rock image on each colored strip with the same ink color.
  • Glue diagonally. TIP: Cut one 1/2″ strip of Basic White Cardstock to use as a spacer. Place below the first In Color strip and glue the next strip below the white strip. Repeat until you reach the end.
  • Trim each end.
  • Glue white layer to Petunia Pop layer.
  • Wrap the ribbon around the layer and tie into a bow at the left. Position the ribbon about 2″ from the bottom.
  • Glue layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment using Summer Splash Ink on Petunia Pop Cardstock. Cut with the Modern Oval Punch. Gluve over the ribbon and at the right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
