Another Card Project From My Class!
Welcome to Day 3 as I show you a pretty sunflower card from my Harvest Gratitude Stamp Camp. Everyone loved the color choices I used on this card. I love mixing things up and using non-traditional colors:
Two years ago, the last year Dave and I were able to garden, we grew these beautiful sunflowers from the photos below. The garden was too much for me to handle on my own that year, as Dave was not able to do much that summer because of the cancer and I ended up plowing the garden under after the season was completed and sowing grass seed. Dave was born into a farming family, so he loved our garden.
Aren’t these pretty? It’s so hard to believe each flower comes from just one seed. Amazing!
The sunflowers were so tall. I was able to seed-save and I have some still in a mason jar. I may try to plant them next year if I can find a good spot for them.
Now that I am alone, I have missed veggie gardening so much, and with the price of food, I am going to attempt raised bed gardening next spring. I purchased two raised beds and have them all set up and I also purchased a dozen grow bags. The lawn looks too pretty, and I don’t want to mess it all up so I’m going a different route. I’ll have to keep you updated once things start growing.
The colors I used on my sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set are Early Espresso stamped on Petal Pink Cardstock. The dies used are from the Sunflowers Dies and I also added two stamped leaves and two detailed diecut leaves. This card is quite simple to create but sometimes the simple ones are the most favorite ones.
You can also see the completed cards below so make sure you visit tomorrow so I can feature one more of these cards with you!
