A Jar Full Of Valentines Hearts & Rosettes!

Good morning and welcome to my blog. If it’s your first time visiting, welcome! A few days ago, I saw a photo that I fell in love with and the photo gave me the idea for today’s projects. I used a jelly canning jar for my vase and decorated that first. I then filled my jar with layers of diecut hearts that I stuffed with polyfil and joined two together. Here are a few more photos of the details:

I’ll show you how I completed the hearts and the rosette. I used the Endless Love Bundle which includes the stamp set and coordinating dies. I also added the Made With Love Designer Paper.
For my largest heart, I cut two with the die and designer paper and then used Linen Thread through the diecut holes with a needle. I left one bump free of stitches so I could stuff my polyfill inside by pushing it in with my Bone Folder. I then continued with the stitching to close up my heart and tied the two thread ends into a bow:

You can use the smaller diecuts to create puffy hearts by using a hot glue gun in the same manner as the stitching. I used wooden skewer sticks and cut them to the length needed and pushed them inside the hearts from the outside. Just make sure you don’t add any glue at the bottom point of the heart. Decorate each heart as you like. I added a little bit of hot glue on the end of the skewer as I pushed it in.
For the rosette, I cut the designer paper to measure 12 x 1-1/2. Once the rosette is completed, it measures 3″ across. Start out by scoring at each 1/4″ increment and folding as shown in the first photo:

- Glue the ends together to from a circle by overlapping.
- Add a dab of hot glue to a silicone mat about the size of a quarter.
- Start pushing on one side of the rosette towards the center to create a flat circle. Use both hands to push down and also to hold the outside edges:

- Press the center of the circle onto the hot glue and keep pressing for a few minutes until the glue sets.
- Peel the rosette from the silicone mat with the hot glue intact.
- Decorate both sides as you like to keep the rosette flat and add a wooden skewer at the bottom.
For the jar, I used designer paper to measure 9 x 2-3/4 and added Tear & Tape to three sides. Keep one long side without Tear & Tape as the jar tapers at the bottom and you don’t want to glue to the bottom of the jar. Wrap the designer paper around the jar and overlap the ends. Decorate as you like. I used Real Red Shiny Ribbon around the top of the jar and then created a separate double-bow that I glued over the ribbon.

To keep the skewers in place inside the jar, I added polyfil around the skewers and filled the jar to the top with polyfil as well! The Mini Card is easy to replicate:

Here are my measurements:
- Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 6 x 3. Score at 3 and fold on the score line.
- Layer 2: Made With Love Designer Paper 2-3/4 x 2-3/4. Set aside.
- Layer 3: Made With Love Designer Paper 3-1/2 x 1-1/2. Glue to layer 2 at an angle and cut the ends. Glue layer to card front.
- Decorate with heart diecuts and ribbon!
