It’s Me & My Kitty Ozzie Today!
One (of many) hardest holidays to go through each year when you lose a spouse is Valentines, along with Wedding Anniversaries, Birthdays……well actually, all of them. I am so happy to see everyone that still has their spouses enjoying themselves but to be honest, it hurts to see photos of what could be, for Dave and I. Our life together was cut short by cancer and we both agreed at the time, that we had been robbed of a longer life together as a couple. Sixteen years together was not enough but I am so thankful and blessed that I had such a good marriage and such a great guy.
If you are fortunate to have a spouse or significant other, enjoy your day today. I truly mean that and am so happy for you both. Happy Valentines Day. I’ll be spending mine with my kitty Ozzie. He has been with me for 3-1/2 weeks now and makes me laugh so much. He is so infatuated with my printer. As soon as I hit the print button on my laptop, he hears the sound and runs at a high rate of speed to see what’s coming out and even tries to bite the paper! If you receive something from me in the mail and it has bite marks, it’s Ozzie’s fault!
The kitten image for today’s project, from the Love Cats stamp set kind of reminds me of Ozzie. I caught him napping on top of Dave’s chair & blanket a few days ago and snapped the photo you see below:
I love the colors I used with the patterns from the Country Gingham Designer Paper. See what I mean by this cat image? They way he is laying down?
