Moonlit Flora Suite!

OMG, I am so in love with the Moonlit Flora Suite. Did you know that in Maine, about mid-May we pick fiddleheads? Fiddleheads are a curly fern like you see on my card. They come and go quickly so we are always on the lookout for them. Once you pick them (and they have to be curly), you have to rinse them well and then blanch them for the freezer. I also snap the stem off so I mostly have the curly head on each piece. I peeked in my freezer a few days ago and only have three bags remaining….yikes!
So what do you do with fiddleheads? You boil them until tender, drain and add lots of butter, salt & pepper. Some people use vinegar on them too. They only appear once a year for about 2-3 weeks and then you have to wait until next year. I usually blanch and freeze about 24 to 30 bags.
When I saw this suite in the new and upcoming Mini Catalog, I just had to have it because of that cute little fiddlehead that you see on my card. See the curly one? That’s what a fiddlehead looks like! Yum!

If you place an order through my Online Store during the month of March, I’ll send you all of the layers to create your own card just like mine. While you wait for the card kit to arrive, you can download my free project sheet below:
