Color Challenge Week With A Fancy Fold!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . I used the three pretty Stampin’ Up! colors from our Color Challenge on a Fancy Fold this week. Here are the three colors our team is using:
The Under My Wing stamp set has a pretty bird and lots of neat sentiments. I love the font and I love the wording. I colored my bird with Stampin’ Blends:
In the photos below, you can see how the card is cut, scored and folded. The layer glued to the flap on the front lines up perfectly with the white layer on the inside evenly spaced around the layer:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Under My Wing
- Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Painted Patch
- Inks: Cajun Craze
- Stampin’ Blends: Pecan Pie, Golden Glow, Old Olive
- Tools & Accessories: Seasonal Cheer Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Cajun Craze Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score at 2-1/8 & 4-1/4.
- Measure down to 2-3/4″ on the front right with a pencil.
- Use a Paper Trimmer and cut from the pencil mark up to the top of the 2nd scored line.
- Fold accordion style for the card fold.
- Layer 2: Old Olive Cardstock 3-3/4 x 1-7/8.
- Measure 2-9/16″ from the bottom left.
- From the top right, cut at an angle down to the pencil mark.
- Emboss with the Seasonal Cheer Embossing Folder. Glue to front flap when folded over.
- Layer 3: Painted Patch Designer Paper 5-1/8 x 1-7/8.
- Measure 3-15/16 from the bottom right.
- From the top left, cut at an angle down to the pencil mark.
- Glue to the front section near the fold so the designer paper peeks through from the front.
- Layer 4: Inside layer-Painted Patch Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to the inside of the card.
- Layer 5: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/4 x 3-1/4. Stamp the branch image at the bottom with Pecan Pie Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue to the inside, centered over the designer paper layer.
- Layer 6: Cajun Craze Cardstock 4 x 3. Glue to front flap, making sure the layer is centered over the white layer on the inside of the card.
- Layer 7: Basic White Cardstock 3-3/4 x 2-3/4. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom left with Cajun Craze Ink. Stamp the bird image with Pecan Pie Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue layer to front layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
