Color Challenge Week With Simply Leaves!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and with fall just around the corner, these colors were perfect to use on a fall themed card:

I used all three colors on my stamped leaves and then used the Everyday Arches Dies to cut a 1/2″ wide arch and added some height to the arch when I placed it back where it belongs:

First you stamp all of the images and then cut the arch with two dies. I glued the layers flat and then re-added the arch back in with Stampin’ Dimensionals:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Simply Leaves
- Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Basic White
- Inks: Cajun Craze, Timid Tiger, Crisp Cantaloupe, VersaMark
- Tools & Accessories: Simple Leaves Punch, Everyday Arches Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool, In Color Flat Pearls
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Cajun Craze Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Follow these steps:
- Stamp the different leaves & veins with all 3 ink colors.
- Use 2 arch dies to cut an arch in the center. The height of the dies measure 4-1/2″ & 3-7/8″.
- Glue the white stamped layer over the 1st white layer on the card base.
- Glue the arch back over the arch hole with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Cajun Craze Cardstock 2-3/4 x 3/4. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Tuck and glue under the arch on each side with Stampin’ Dimenisonals.
- Bling: Add In Color Flat Pearls to the arch.
