Case The Catalog Final Week!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends. It’s time to say goodbye to our annual Case The Catalog Challenge. We do this every year for the month of July and the sample below is our last one for this year:

We can use the sample for inspiration in many ways:
- Same stamp set
- The colors
- The layout
- Or some combination of all of the above!
This is the card I came up with following the layout:

If you know me well, I love butterflies and leaves and when a new set debuts with either one of those, I usually purchase. The Simply Leaves Bundle includes the stamp set and a coordinating punch. I handcut the smaller leaves:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Simply Leaves
- Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Crisp Cantaloupe, Gold Foil Sheets
- Designer Paper: Bloom Boutique
- Inks: Peaceful Pine, Crisp Cantaloupe
- Tools & Accessories: Simple Leaves Punch, Party Banners Dies, Paper Snips, Pearlized Faceted Circles, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Bloom Boutique Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 4-1/4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Crisp Cantaloupe Cardstock cut with the 4-1/8″ long banner from Party Banners Dies. Stamp the leaf veins a few times with Peaceful Pink Ink. Glue banner to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Basic White Cardstock 3 x 1/2. Stamp the sentiment with Peaceful Pine Ink. Glue to banner as shown with one Stampin’ Dimensionals on each end only.
- Leaves: As follows:
- Small plaid leaf: Ink with Crisp Cantaloupe Ink and stamp on Basic White Cardstock twice without reinking. Cut with Paper Snips.
- Small veined leaf: Ink with Peaceful Pink Ink and stamp on Basic White Cardstock twice without reinking. Cut with Paper Snips.
- Gold Foil leaf: Cut with the punch.
- Tuck and glue all leaves as shown, some tucked under the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The last leaf at the very top is glued flat.
- Bling: Add Pearlized Faceted Circles to the banner background.
