Create With Stamping Friends Challenge 929

Case The Catalog Week 3!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends as we continue our July Case The Catalog theme. This week, we are using the sample from page 38 of our current Mini Catalog:

I replicated the layout and some of the colors and came up with this card:

The Pretty Poinsettia Bundle makes the prettiest flowers. There are so many different sizes of poinsettia dies to choose from. I opted to stick with the smallest die and layered 3 flowers together on each poinsettia:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Pretty Poinsettia
  • Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Bubble Bath, Soft Sea Foam
  • Designer Paper: A Stitched Season
  • Inks: Peaceful Pine
  • Tools & Accessories: Pretty Poinsettia Dies, In Color Butterflies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Linen Thread, Scalloped Blooms Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
  • Layer 2: A Stitched Season Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 4-1/4. Glue to card base.
  • Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 3-1/2″ scalloped die. Stamp two leaf images at the bottom by stamping on scrap paper first and without reinking. Glue scallop to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals 1″ from the top.
  • Leaves: Stamp 4 leaf images at the bottom by stamping on scrap paper first and without reinking on Basic White Cardstock. Cut with the dies. Tuck and glue under the scallop as shown.
  • Poinsettias: Cut 6 poinsettias with the smallest die and Bubble Bath Cardstock. Layer and glue 3 together. Glue to scallop with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Flowers: Cut 3 of each of the small flowers with the dies and Bubble Bath Cardstock. Layer both sizes together and glue to the scalloped layer with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Tag: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 1-3/4 x 1. Trim the two top corners at an angle with Paper Snips. Add a hole at the top of the tag. Stamp the sentiment with Peaceful Pine Ink. Tie the Linen Thread through the hole and tie into a bow. Glue taag to the right of the poinsettia with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Bling: Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of each flower. Add In Color Butterflies to the scalloped background.
