Color Challenge Week With Simply Leaves!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and this week, we are all using these three colors on our projects:

The Simply Leaves Bundle was one of the first ones I purchased when it debuted recently. I love anything that has leaves on them for products (and of course butteflies). Here’s what I did with this bundle:

I used two sizes of leaves and also used the leaf veins image for the background:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Simply Leaves
- Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Barely Blush, Basic Gray, Basic White
- Inks: Blackberry Bliss
- Tools & Accessories: Simply Leaves Punch, Paper Snips, Linen Thread, Sunset Sparkle Sequins, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Blackberry Bliss Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Stamp the veins image repeatedly, some without reinking for a lighter ink color. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic Gray Cardstock 5 x 1. Cut the right end at an angle with Paper Snips. Glue even at the left on the white layer and about 3/4″ from the bottom, flat.
- Layer 4: Barely Blush Cardstock 4-1/4 x 3/4. Cut the right end at an angle with Paper Snips. Stamp the sentiment with Blackberry Bliss Ink to the right. Glue layered over the gray layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Leaves: Stamp one large leaf on Basic White Cardstock with Blackberry Bliss Ink. Cut with the punch. Tuck and glue under the blush layer flat about 1″ from the left side.
- Small Leaves: Stamp the 2 different small leaf patterns with Blackberry Bliss Ink on Barely Blush Cardstock. Hand-cut with Paper Snips. Glue over the large leave and sentiment layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Twine: Create a bow with the Linen Thread. Glue to the small leaves.
- Bling: Add Sunset Sparkle Sequins to the white background.
