Create With Stamping Friends Challenge 914

Color Challenge Week With Designer Paper Patterns!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . I’m trying to use up some of my products that I know will be retiring soon, so this week with our Color Challenge, I used scraps of designer papers in these three colors:

It was easy to use all three colors and cut 1″ x 1″ squares and line them up like I did on the front layer of my card. I used a ruler placed across as a guide and it went quite quickly:

All I needed after I added all of my squares, was a little bit of bling and a sentiment:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Scalloped Blooms
  • Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Basic White
  • Designer Paper: Regals, Brights, Subtles
  • Inks: Granny Apple Green
  • Tools & Accessories: Iridescent Foil Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
  • Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Set aside.
  • Designer Papers: Cut the following:
    • Crushed Curry pattern in the Regals Designer Paper (4) 1 x 1 squares. Cut one in half diagonally. Glue across leaving 1/8″ around each square and about 1/4″ from the top on the Layer 2.
    • Granny Apple Green pattern in the Brights Designer Paper (4) 1 x 1 squares. Glue below the crushed curry squares leaving 1/8″ around all sides.
    • Calypso Coral pattern in the Subtles Designer Paper (4) 1 x 1 squares. Cut one in half diagonally. Glue across leaving 1/8″ around all sides.
  • Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Granny Apple Green Ink below the squares.
  • Bling: Add Iridescent Foil Gems to the white background.
  • Glue layer to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
