Sketch Challenge Week With Twisted In Time!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . These are the three pretty colors we are all using on our projects this week:
I decided to use a stamp set that was already sitting on my stamp counter that I used on another card. I love the tree image from the Twisted In Time stamp set:
Who says you can’t have a Peach Pie tree trunk right? In the stamping world, we can use colors that you normally wouldn’t think of!
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Twisted In Time
- Cardstock: Pool Party, Old Olive, Basic White, Thick Basic White
- Designer Paper: 2024-2026 In Color
- Inks: Peach Pie, Pool Party, Old Olive, VersaMark
- Tools & Accessories: Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool, Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon, Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Paper Snips, Blending Brushes, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pool Party Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: In Color Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 3. Glue to card base even with the left edge.
- Stamp the geometric shape to the right of the designer paper at the top and bottom with Old Olive Ink.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 4-3/4 x 3-3/8 Deckled Rectangles Die. Wrap the riboon around and tie into a bow at the left. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 4-1/4 x 2-7/8 Deckled Rectangles Die. Follow these steps:
- Stamp the tree trunk with Peach Pie Ink.
- Stamp the top of the tree with Old Olive Ink.
- Stamp over the top of the tree with the leaf image using Old Olive Ink.
- Use a Blending Brush to add Pool Party Ink around the top and side egdes for the sky.
- Use a Blending Brush to add Old Olive Ink to the bottom and sides for the grass.
- Glue to white layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 5: Old Olive Cardstock 3-1/2 x 3/4. Trim both ends into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle white embossing powder and melt with a Heat Tool. Glue banner to stamped layer about 3/4″ from the bottom.
- Bling: Add Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds to the sky, tree and sentiment layers.
