Aspen Grove And Some Pretty Ribbon!

Welcome to ourCreate With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is this photo:

Our Aspen Grove stamp set is a neat one. See all of those birch trees on my card? They are all individual stamp images that you can use spaced out the way you want. You can also use one, two, three or more trees…as many as you like!

I also added leaves to my trees by stamping twice without reinking for a light and dark shade of the ink color. Notice the pretty ribbon too? It’s from our Last Chance list so if you fall in love with it like I did, make sure you buy it soon before it’s sold out!

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Aspen Grove, Wonderful Thoughts
  • Inks: Memento Black, Old Olive
  • Cardstock: Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White
  • Designer Paper: Subtles
  • Tools & Accessories: Happy Labels Pick A Punch, Textured Notes Dies, Balmy Blue Sheer Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
  • Layer 2: Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Glue to card base centered.
  • Layer 3: Subtles Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 3-1/4. Set aside.
  • Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the frame die that measures 4-1/4 x 2-3/4. Follow these steps:
    • Stamp the birch trees with Memento Black Ink. I used 6 trees.
    • Stamp some shorter branches to some of the trees with Memento Black Ink.
    • Stamp the leaves at the top twice without reinking using Old Olive Ink.
    • Glue layer to the Subtles layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Wrap the ribbon around both layers and tie into a bow at the right.
    • Glue layers to card front centered.
  • Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 3 x 3/4 with Memento Black Ink. Cut both ends with the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Glue over the ribbon leaving some ribbon showing on the bottom.
