Halloween Time Theme!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends.  It’s that time of year where a lot of us create projects for Halloween. I consider Halloween a “dress-up day” and love seeing my grandkids all dressed up. They get so excited for this day every year.

Our theme this week for our blog hop is Halloween and this is my project:

The Potions & Spells Bundle has this cute cat image that I just had to use and how about the strips of designer paper from the Splendid Autumn pack that I used as well? So pretty with the different colors. I even stamped direct-to-paper:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Potions & Spells
• Inks: VersaMark, Memento Tuxedo Black
• Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White
• Designer Paper: Splendid Autumn
• Tools & Accessories: Potions & Spells Dies, Deckled Circles Dies, Wild Wheat Rustic Striped Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
• Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 4 x 1-3/4. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom, slightly to the right with Memento Black Ink. Glue 1/8″ from the bottom of the card base.
• Layer 3: 4 patterns of the Splendid Autumn Designer Paper each measuring 3-1/2 x 1. Glue above the white layer and side-by-side.
• Layer 4: Basic Black Cardstock 4 x 3/4. Wrap the ribbon around the cardstock and tie into a knot about 1″ from the right edge. Glue to card front where the white & designer paper layers meet.
• Layer 5: Basic Black Cardstock cut with the 2-1/2″ Deckled Circles Dies. Glue over the ribbon to the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Layer 6: Basic Black Cardstock cut with the 2-1/16″ Deckled Circles Dies. Glue over the black circle.
• Cat: Stamp the cat image on Basic Black Cardstock with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt with the Heat Tool. Cut with the die and glue to the white circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Twinkles: Stamp the twinkle image on the designer paper several times with Memento Black Ink.
