Fun With Plaids!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends.  I was so excited when the new Annual Catalog debuted, and our Timeless Plaid Designer Paper carried over. I love this paper and it’s what I used today for our Fun With Plaids theme.

I actually used 3 patterns from the designer paper pack. There are so many patterns you can use and all with different colors and patterns.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Sunrise Sailing
  • Inks: Pecan Pie
  • Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Basic White, Misty Moonlight
  • Designer Paper: Timeless Plaid
  • Tools & Accessories: Sunrise Sailing Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Crumb Cake Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
  • Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
  • Layer 3: Timeless Plaid Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card front.
  • Layer 4: Pecan Pie Cardstock 5 x 2-1/2. Glue about 1″ from the top.
  • Designer Paper: Choose 2 patterns and cut (3) to measure 2-1/4 x 1-1/2. Glue all three across the Pecan Pie layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Clouds: Use the 2 cloud dies with Basic White Cardstock. Glue to the designer paper layers at the top.
  • Water: Use the water die to cut 1 with Misty Moonlight Cardstock 1-1/2″ wide. Glue to the bottom of the designer paper in the center.
  • Sailboat: Use the small sailboat die to cut 1 with Pecan Pie Cardstock. Glue to over the water with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Birds: Use the bird dies to cut (3) with Pecan Pie Cardstock. Glue to the clouds.
  • Sentiment: Basic White Cardstock 1/4″ strip. Stamp the sentiment with Pecan Pie Ink. Cut into 2 lines of text. Glue below the Pecan Pie layer with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
