Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple

Botanicals Theme with Fern & Flora!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week. This is our new theme for the month of May:

I let the Moonlit Flora Designer Paper do all of the work for me this week. The prints on the designer paper and dry embossing on the cardstock looks so good when paired together:

I also love the luna moth on one of the patterned sheets. I’m lucky to almost always spy a luna month on my property at least once a year during the summer months. It’s sad that they only live for 7-10 days. These creatures are beautiful in person!

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Fern & Flora
  • Inks: Secret Sea
  • Cardstock: Secret Sea, Golden Glow, Pecan Pie
  • Designer Paper: Moonlit Flora
  • Tools & Accessories: Fern & Flora Dies, Party Banner Dies, Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Secret Sea Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
  • Layer 2: Golden Glow Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Emboss with the Fern & Flora Embossing Folder and glue to card base.
  • Layer 3: Moonlit Flora Designer Paper cut with the 4-1/2″ long Party Banners Die. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Layer 4: Moonlit Flora Designer Paper cut with the 3-3/4″ long Party Banners Die. Glue to banner flat.
  • Sentiment: Golden Glow Cardstock, stamp the frame and then the sentiment at the right with Secret Sea Ink. Cut with the die and glue to the left side of the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Moth: Stamp the moth image on Pecan Pie Cardstock with Secret Sea Ink. Cut with the die and glue to the left in the sentiment layer with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
