Critters or Insects Theme!
Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week. This is our theme for the month of March:
It’s so easy to find stamp sets that have cute critters or insects in them. This week, I used the Sweet Bugs Bundle along with the Cute As A Bug Designer Paper:
I used 2 different patterns from the designer paper and then colored my stamped critter with Stampin’ Blends:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sweet Bugs
- Inks: Memento Black
- Stampin’ Blends: Poppy Parade, Old Olive
- Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Cute As A Bug
- Tools & Accessories: Sweet Bugs Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Cut two strips each as follows of the Cute As A Bug Designer Paper-
- 4-1/8 x 1
- 2-7/8 x 1
- Glue around all 4 sides leaving 1/8″ around all edges.
- Layer 3: Cute As A Bug Designer Paper 3 x 1-3/4. Glue in the center of the card base.
- Critter: Stamp the critter with Memento Black Ink. Cut with the die. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Glue to the center of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Basic White Cardstock 2-1/2 x 1/4. Stamp the sentiment with Memento Black Ink. Glue over the critter at the bottom with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals at each end.
