Springtime Scenes Critters or Insects Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week. This is our theme for this month:

I have two types of ladybugs on my card today for my critters or insects. You’ll see dry embossed ladybugs from the Ladybug Picnic 3D Embossing Folder and cute Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes sitting on my leaves:

I only used 2 colors for my cardstock layers: Basic White & Granny Apple Green. A little pop of red with the ladybugs, twine and the sentiment was added too:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Springtime Scenes
- Inks: Real Red, Garden Green
- Cardstock: Basic White, Granny Apple Green
- Tools & Accessories: Springtime Scenes Dies, Real Red & White Bakers Twine, Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes, Ladybug Picnic 3D Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Granny Apple Green Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Insert into the embossing folder at an angle for the top only and emboss. Set aside.
- Layer 3: Granny Apple Green Cardstock 5 x 1/4. Glue where the embossing ends in the center of the white layer. Trim the ends. Glue to card base.
- Leaves: Stamp 2 leaves on Granny Apple Green Cardstock with Garden Green Ink. Cut with the die. layer the 2 leaves to each other with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Twine: Wrap the twine around the leaf stems and tie into a bow. Glue the leaves to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment to the right of the leaves with Real Red Ink.
- Bling: Add Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes to the leaves.
