Our Last Week With A Watercolor Theme!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:

We will have a new theme starting next week so make sure you visit! I used a Watercolor Technique to create this beautiful background on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper for today’s project:

You can also see that I gold-embossed the sentiment & butterflies. I also added a little bit of coloring to my butterflies with Stampin’ Write Markers:

Start off with the following Stampin’ Up! products for the technique:
- Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper 4-3/4 x 3-1/2
- Water Spritzer
- Lemon Lolly Ink, Flirty Flamigo Ink, Berry Burst Ink
- Water Painter

- Totally saturate the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with the Water Spritzer (I had paper towel underneath to catch the water).
- Using all 3 ink pads, squeeze and apply pressure to the cover of each ink pad in the center before opening. Open the lid to use the ink on the inside lid.
- Squeeze a few drops of water from the Water Painter onto the inks and mix.
- Grab one ink color at a time and drop the color onto the wet watercolor paper by touching the ink to the water drops on the paper. There should be enough water so the ink travels on it’s own.

- Use all 3 colors and continue to add colors throughout the background. If you notice the water is too dry, squeeze the water painter to add more water to the inks as you drop them onto the paper. You can also spritz with the Water Spritzer again to move the ink.
- Allow to dry or use a Heat Tool.
