Watercolor Theme With Ink Refills!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme and for the month of May, this is the theme:

I love the bright & colorful background I created on our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I used 4 colors from ink refills and made them run & drip!

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: More Messages
- Inks: Azure Afternoon
- Ink Refills: Petunia Pop, Summer Splash, Azure Afternoon, Crused Curry
- Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Summer Splash, Petunia Pop, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
- Tools & Accessories: More Messages Dies, Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Foam Adhesive Sheets, Spritzer

Steps:
- Start with a layer of our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to measure 4-3/4 x 3-1/2.
- Using the Spritzer, spray water at the top 2″ on the long side.
- Apply a few drops of reinker with one color at the very top. Spritz more water to make the ink run by holding the watercolor paper standing up. This will make the ink drip.
- Repeat with the next ink refill color.
- You can also add a drop or 2 in some of the white areas at the top if needed to fill in.
- The more water you spritz, the more the ink will run.
- Lay paper flat and dry with a Heat Tool if needed.
- I also layed a piece of tissue paper under the watercolor paper as I spritzed to catch any overflow.

Once the watercolor paper was dried, I added a sheet of our Foam Adhesive Sheets to the back to make the paper flat again or you can use Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finish the Card:
- Card Base: Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Summer Splash Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4.
- Sentiment: Stamp Azure Afternoon Ink on Petunia Pink Cardstock and cut with the die.
- Add Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the background.
