Heart Shaped Bundle & Toadstool Gardens!
Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:
Valentine’s Day is almost here so what a perfect time to get busy with our Hearts theme. I decided to go with a non-traditional color assortment for my card today. It even fits the bill for a masculine Valentine’s Day card if you choose to go that route. I used Azure Afternoon and Summer Splash for my two non-traditional colors:
I added two rows of vertical hearts surrounded by some pretty diecut flowers:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Heart Shaped
- Inks: Azure Afternoon
- Cardstock: Azure Afternoon, Summer Splash, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Toadstool Gardens
- Tools & Accessories: Heart Shaped Dies, Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Azure Afternoon Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Toadstool Gardens Designer Paper 4-1/2 x 3. Glue to card base 1/2″ from the left.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 4 x 2-3/4. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals 1/2″ from the right.
- Hearts: Use the small stitched heart die to cut (6) with Summer Splash Cardstock. Glue with Stampin’ Dimensionals in two vertical rows.
- Flowers: Use the small flower die to cut (6) with Azure Afternoon Cardstock. Glue the flowers to some of the hearts and some to the background with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Azure Afteroon Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Cut close to the wording. Glue to the center heart on the right with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the white background.
