Seasons Greetings Theme!
Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:
It’s our last week featuring the Seasons Greetings theme so look for a new theme next week! I decided to add snowflakes to my card to depict winter since Christmas has gone by and to also celebrate a new year.
You will be amazed at how I came up with the snowflakes. What I had on hand for Christmas dies were a little too small for the card layout I had in mind so I started searching my sets and this is what I used:
Notice the die that looks like a snowflake? I don’t think that’s the intention of the die but hey, it works. If you are interested in this bundle, here is the information: Tune In Bundle #163637 $41.25
Now let’s look closely at the details of my layers:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Cake Celebrations
- Inks: VersaMark
- Cardstock: Pool Party, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Tune In Dies, Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pool Party Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Pool Party Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Stamp the sentiment about 2″ from the bottom with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Glue layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 3: Pool Party Cardstock cut with the largest banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Glue above the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Snowflakes: Use the die to cut 3 snowflakes with Basic White Cardstock. Glue the snowflakes to the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots to the center of each snowflake.
