Christmas Theme With Sophisticated Sled!
Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:
I chose to use the Sophisticated Sled Bundle and also added in a patterned sheet from the Country Woods Designer Paper. Once the designer paper was cut, I removed part of it and flipped it to the 2nd side for a different pattern:
Look, no white at all! The sled uses three different dies and then I added the stamped and diecut skates on top:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sophisticated Sled
- Inks: Early Espresso
- Cardstock: Boho Blue, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Early Espresso
- Designer Paper: Country Woods
- Tools & Accessories: Sophisticated Sled Dies, Peacock Metallic Ribbon, Gold Twisted Thread, Tear & Tape, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Boho Blue Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Pool Party Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: County Woods Designer Paper 4-1/2 x 3-1/2. On the long side, cut at 1-3/4″ and flip the short piece over to the 2nd side. Glue both pieces at an angle to card front.
- Ribbon: Add a strip of Tear & Tape where the two designer papers meet. Add a 4″ piece of ribbon cut at an angle on both ends over the Tear & Tape.
- Sled: Cut the two sled pieces with Smoky Slate Cardstock and glue flat to card front. Cut the top pieces of the sled with Early Espresso Cardstock. Add a piece of the Gold Twisted Thread through the two holes on the smaller layer and tie ends into knots. Glue layer to sled with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Skates: Stamp the skates on Crumb Cake Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. Cut with the die. Glue to sled with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Pool Party Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. Cut close to the wording and cut into two words. Glue to the right of the sled with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
