Blue Ain’t Your Color Theme!

Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. Blue has always been my favorite color and Stampin’ Up! has plenty of blues to pick from. Today I picked Secret Sea and Cloud Cover:

The stamp set I used is the Peaceful Pier and the beautiful designer paper scenery is from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper pack.


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Peaceful Pier
- Inks: Secret Sea, Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blends
- Cardstock: Secret Sea, Cloud Cover
- Designer Paper: Beautiful Gallery
- Tools & Accessories: 1-3/4 Circle Punch, Stylish Shapes Dies, 2025-2027 Flat Pearls, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Cloud Cover Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Secret Sea Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Secret Sea Cardstock 5 x 1-3/4. Glue about 1″ from the bottom.
- Layer 5: Cloud Cover Cardstock 5 x 1-1/2. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom left with Secret Sea Ink. Stamp both fish images repeatedly with Secret Sea Ink. Color the fins with Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blends. Glue to card front.
- Layer 6: Secret Sea Cardstock cut with the 2-1/8″ circle from Stylish Shapes Dies. Glue about 1/2″ from the right on the stamped layer.
- Layer 7: Stamp the fishing guy image on Cloud Cover Cardstock with Secret Sea Ink. Color the hat, fish, boots and shorts with Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and glue to the Secret Sea circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Flat Pearls to the stamped cardstock strip.
