Reindeer Fun & Country Woods Designer Paper!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is the photo below. There is so much to work with here:
I chose the colors, the trees, and the deer:
I love the adorable image of Momma deer with her baby. I stamped with Early Espresso Ink and colored both of them with Stampin’ Blends. I also added pretty ribbon & a bow under the stamped layer:

Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Shaded Spruce Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Balmy Blue Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Country Woods Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card base.
- Ribbon: Add a strip of Tear & Tape on the Designer Paper about 1″ from the bottom. Press the ribbon in place over the tape and trim to fit.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock 4 x 3-1/4. Follow these steps:
- Using a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock about 5″ long, tear on the long side. Use the torn edge to create mountains and snowbanks with Balmy Blue Ink and a Blending Brush. Keep moving the stencil to different areas of the white cardstock to create layers.
- Stamp the deer image with Early Espresso Ink.
- Color both deer with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
- Stamp the tree image repeatedly, sometimes without reinking for a lighter color.
- Stamp the dotted image near the feet repeatedly, sometimes without reinking using Crumb Cake and Balmy Blue Inks.
- Add birds to the sky from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds embellishments.
- Glue layer to card front to the right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bow: Create a double-bow with the ribbon and glue to the left of the stamped layer and over the ribbon strip.
