Snowy Wonder & A Candy Cane Inspiration Photo!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is the inspiration photo below:
I decided to use the candycane stripes and stick with a monochromatic red theme:
The card fold I used is a Gate Fold. It’s the same size as a regular card but opens in the center with two scored lines and folded edges on each end. I also used the adorable snowflake dies from the Snowy Wonder Dies. Aren’t they cute?
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Snowy Wonder, Sophisticated Sled
- Inks: Real Red
- Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Take A Bow
- Tools & Accessories: Snowy Wonder Dies, Blender Pens, Stylish Shapes Dies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Real Red Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score at 1-3/4 & 6. Fold on both scored lines.
- Layer 2: Take A Bow Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 2-1/4 and 5-1/4 x 1-1/2. Glue to both flaps on the front.
- Layer 3: Real Red Cardstock cut with the 3″ circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Glue to the largest flap on the front only.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the2-1/2″ circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Stamp the snowman image with Real Red Ink. Use the inked lines and a Blender Pen to spread some of the red ink. Glue circle to red circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Hat: Stamp the hat image on Basic White Cardstock with Real Red Ink. Cut with the die. Glue to the snowman’s head with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Real Red Ink on Basic White Cardstock 1-7/8 x 1/4. Glue over the snowman with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Snowflakes: Use the snowflake die to cut (3) with Basic White Cardstock. Glue to card front.
- Bling: Add Rhinestone Basis Jewels to each snowflake.
