From Our House To Yours!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a photo of houses:
Each week, Connie & I use an inspiration photo to come up with a design for our cards. I used the Humble Home Bundle which includes a house-shaped punch:
I added two layers of snow by hand-tearing Basic White Cardstock and coloring the torn edges with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. I also used our Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints for the smoke coming out of the chimney:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Humble Home
- Inks: Garden Green
- Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Granny Apple Green
- Designer Paper: Take A Bow
- Tools & Accessories: Humble Home Punch, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, Iridescent Striped Trim, Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints, Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Real Red Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Take A Bow Designer Paper 5 x 3-1/4. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/4 x 2-1/2. Set aside.
- Layer 5: Take A Bow Designer Paper 4-1/4 x 2-1/2. Follow these steps:
- Glue over the white layer.
- Trim the top two corners at an angle.
- Use a hole punch for the top.
- Basic White Cardstock 2-1/2 x 2-1/2. Tear above the center on the long side to create two layers. Color the torn edges with Wink Of Stella. Glue both layers even at the bottom of the tag.
- Use the Humble Home Punch with Granny Apple Green Cardstock. Stamp the sentiment with Garden Green Ink. Tuck and glue under the snowbanks.
- Add Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints in all three sizes coming out of the chimney.
- Add Iridescent Striped Trim ribbon through the hole and trim both ends at an angle.
- Wrap the silver ribbon from the Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack around the iridescent ribbon and tie into a knot. Trim ends at an angle.
- Glue tag to card front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
