Want To See Some Pretty Colors?
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration photo challenge is this:
What would be your choice of inspiration from the photo? I chose to use some of the colors and added strips of cardstock diagonally:
All of my cardstock strips are 1/2″ wide and it was easy to glue them in place diagonally. I didn’t want to coved up the colors too much so opted to add only a sentiment, pretty bow and some bling:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Something Fancy
- Inks: Memento Black
- Cardstock: Basic White, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lolly, Shaded Spruce, Pretty In Pink, Pretty Peacock, Basic Black
- Tools & Accessories: Something Fancy Dies, Pretty In Pink Bordered Ribbon, Blooming Pearls, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Melon Mambo Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Set aside.
- Strips: Cut cardstock strips with all of the colors listed 5-1/2″ x 1/2″. Glue on strip diagonally across the center of the white cardstock layer. Continue to add the colored cardstock strips until the white is all covered. Trim the ends. Glue to card front.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Memento Black Ink on Pretty In Pink Cardstock. Cut with the die. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bow: Create a triple-bow and glue below the sentiment with Mini Glue Dots.
- Bling: Add Blooming Pearls to the background.
