July Is CASE The Catalog Month!

Good Morning and Happy Thursday! We have a new challenge this week at Create With Connie & Mary. We have a few more weeks remaining to “Case The Catalog”. I used the layout of the card we are casing and this is what I ended up with:

I was so excited that the Nested Friends stamp set and dies didn’t retire. I didn’t get to use them much when they first debuted so I was glad I could use for today’s card. I also added a pretty doily using the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder. You can emboss and cut in one step and the doily is beautiful:


I colored my images with Stampin’ Blends Markers and added a cute sentiment cut with the Radiating Stitches Dies. Here are the details:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Nested Friends
- Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Petal Pink, Crushed Curry
- Designer Paper: Inked Botanicals
- Inks: Copper Clay, Crushed Curry Stampin’ Blends, Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends
- Tools & Accessories: Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder, Radiating Stitches Dies, Nested Friends Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Copper Clay 3/8″ Textured Ribbon
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Very Vanilla Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Inked Botanicals Designer Paper 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Cut (2) designer paper strips with different patterns measuring 4″ x 1/2″ and glue at an angle towards the bottom of the card front as shown.
- Layer 4: Place a layer of Lost Lagoon Cardstock inside the embossing folder along with the die. Run through the machine to emboss and cut the doily. Glue above the two designer paper strips.
- Layer 5: Crushed Curry Cardstock 3-1/4″ x 2-1/2″. Glue over the doily and to the right at an angle.
- Layer 6: Very Vanilla Cardstock 3″ x 2-1/4″. Stamp the branch image, bird image and dots image using Copper Clay Ink. Color the bird with Crushed Curry Stampin’ Blends and the leaves with Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends. Glue layer to the Crushed Curry Cardstock layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Petal Pink Cardstock using Copper Clay Ink. Cut with the circle die from the Radiating Stitches Dies. Glue to the bottom left corner of the stamped layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Knot: Tie a knot with the ribbon. Cut the ends at an angle. Glue below the sentiment.
