Divine Designer Paper!
Hello and welcome to a November Control Freaks Blog Hop. We have some happy cards to show you this month using designer paper. Who doesn’t love our Stampin’ Up! designer paper? Our concept artists sure know how to make us fall in love with all of their designs.
You may have arrived here after visiting with Cindy Elam. Did you fall in love with her designer paper projects? At the bottom of my post, I will direct you to the next person in line after me!
For my set of six cards, I used one 12″ x 12″ sheet from the Rustic Harvest Designer Paper. The sheet that I used has a little scenery-type design across the whole bottom and top. This is what I came up with by cutting the paper in six equal layers:
I coordinated the card base and sentiment layer to the colors in the designer paper with: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry Cardstocks:
I absolutely love the font on all of my sentiment layers from the Go To Greetings stamp set. So elegant! Here is the card recipe you will need for all six cards:
- Card Bases: Two of each color measuring 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″. Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry is what I used.
- Designer Paper: Cut the designer paper in half in the center at 6″. Trim off the stems on the bottom of each piece to 5-1/4″ wide instead of 6″. Using each piece, cut (3) pieces 4″ wide. You should have six pieces total. Glue to the card bases.
- Sentiment Layer: Cut (2) of each color in Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry to measure 4″ x 1-1/4″. Stamp the sentiments on each one using Blackberry Bliss Ink. Glue to each card front about 1-1/4″ from the bottom.
- Bling: Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels to each butterfly and to the sentiment layers.
It is now time to visit with my talented teammate Melissa Davies. Make sure to view the whole hop so you can get more fabulous ideas with designer paper! Thanks for visiting!
